A SMALL PROJECT BY ZEFORC

A useful tool. Room for your ideas.

VietQR is an open-source toolkit for adding Vietnamese payment QR codes to JavaScript applications. Built around a small core, with components when you need them.

01 / THE IDEA

Keep the essentials simple.

Building a payment screen brings together several small tasks: bank lookup, payload generation, a scannable QR and a layout that fits the app. VietQR keeps these layers separate so you can choose what you need.

Use the TypeScript core for the payload alone. Add a React, Vue or Svelte adapter for rendering, or use Web Components in plain HTML. Templates offer a starting point for payment cards and table standees.

02 / DESIGN DECISIONS

A core that stands on its own.

Payload generation and bank lookup run locally. No QR generation API is required for bundled data.

Code you can inspect.

The EMVCo builder, CRC checks and tests are in the repository. A checksum checks data integrity; it does not verify the recipient.

Your app keeps its character.

Choose a payload, a component or a template. Start with the layer that gives you the control you need.

Help make the next version better.
